 Sales Policies

A minimum non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold a puppy.
(Puppies priced at $1000 or more require a larger deposit.)

Please be aware that others may be looking at the same puppy you are interested in.
We will reserve the puppy for the first person who gives us a deposit. 
If you like, you may pay the deposit immediately online. 
Please contact us first for availability and payment procedure.
NOTE:  Any payments made through PayPal are subject to a 4% charge.

The balance is due by the time the puppy is 8 weeks old.  If not paid by this time,
the puppy is subject to being sold to another buyer, and the deposit is forfeited.

Cash is required for the final payment.  Personal checks will be accepted for deposits only.

If a puppy is being shipped, only postal money orders will be accepted for the final payment.

Puppies left past their pickup date will incur boarding charges of $30 a week.

All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC);
however, puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract without papers. 
Please contact us if you are interested in receiving full AKC registration. 

     **Shipping is available at customer's expense.**
Usual cost is $275, depending on which airline we ship on.
For some airlines, the cost is $350.

 
 

We feed our puppies Diamond Puppy Food and recommend Diamond Naturals

  About Littles Kennels

We are a small kennel located in San Marcos, Texas. 
Our first experience with dachshunds was a beloved family pet 
entrusted to us by our son when he moved out of the country.  
Buster was a loyal companion for many years, amazingly well-behaved
and still energetic and playful even at age 14.
He was the "old man" of our kennel,
and while we never used him in breeding,
all the other dogs seemed to love and respect him 
as the grandfather of the kennel.
Buster has now gone to Rainbow Bridge.*

 In 2001 while Buster was still with us, we started raising dachshund puppies. 
Currently we specialize in English creams, chocolates, and piebalds.
 
We like being small and want to stay that way 
because it allows us to know our pets well 
and to enjoy each one's unique personality.

*Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills
for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he runs from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then, you cross Rainbow Bridge together.....
