Sales Policy 

• A minimum non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold a puppy. 
  If a puppy is priced at $1000 or above, the required deposit is 1/3 of the price.
   

• Please be aware that others may be looking at the same puppy you are
  interested in.  We will reserve the puppy for the first person who gives us
  a deposit.   If you like, you may pay the deposit through PayPal.  Please
  contact us first for availability information and payment procedure.
   

• The balance is due by the time the puppy is 8 weeks old.  If not paid by
  this time, the puppy is subject to being sold to another buyer, and the
  deposit is forfeited. 
   

• Cash is required for the final payment.  Personal checks will be accepted
  for deposits only (deposit must be made at least one week before pickup.)
  If a puppy is being shipped, only postal money orders are accepted for the 
  final payment.   **If you send anything other than a postal money order,
  it will not be accepted, and the puppy may be sold to someone else.**
   

• All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC); however, 
  puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract without papers.  Please contact us if you are interested in receiving full AKC registration. 
   

• Puppies will receive an exam by our vet before they go home with their new families.  They will also be wormed at least 3 times and have at least one set of immunizations. 

    **Shipping is available at customer's expense.**
Usual cost is $275, depending on which airline we ship on.
For some airlines, the cost is $325.

 
 

Waiting List

If you would like to be placed on a waiting list
for a particular litter, simply email me with your request.
People on the waiting list will be the first to be notified
of the arrival of a new litter.

                            

We feed our puppies Diamond Puppy Food and recommend Diamond Naturals
Lamb and Rice when they are grown.  For locations of stores that offer Diamond Foods,

  About Littles Kennels

We are a small kennel located in San Marcos, Texas. 
Our first experience with dachshunds was a beloved family pet 
entrusted to us by our son when he moved out of the country.  
Buster was a loyal companion for many years, amazingly well-behaved
and still energetic and playful even at age 14.
He was the "old man" of our kennel,
and while we never used him in breeding,
all the other dogs seem to love and respect him 
as the grandfather of the kennel.
Buster has now gone to Rainbow Bridge.*

 In 2001 while Buster was still with us, we started raising dachshund puppies. 
Currently we specialize in English creams and chocolates, 
and we have all three coat types ~ smooth, longhair, and wire.

 We like being small and want to stay that way 
because it allows us to know our pets well 
and to enjoy each one's unique personality.

*Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills
for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he runs from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then, you cross Rainbow Bridge together.....
